CT Medical Imaging Services and Radiology Reporting Services

Project goals

Medical Imaging Services will select a panel of suppliers for state-wide medical imaging services (CT & chest X-ray) which may include providers with fixed-site and/or mobile capacity.

Radiology Reporting Service will seek one or more suppliers for centralised radiology reporting of images produced by DDC clinics and external providers. The objective is to ensure safe, timely, and standards-compliant diagnostic imaging and reporting to support the screening demand

The opportunities will be released as 2 separate Request for Proposals in Q2 of FY26.

Scope

Medical Imaging Services (RFP 1) - High-level capabilities sought:

• Provision of CT (including HRCT) and chest X-ray services, either in specific regions or across NSW (metropolitan, regional, remote).
• Mobile CT provision (capability, accreditation, maintenance).
• Evidence of accreditation, QA procedures, radiation safety programs and capacity to meet forecast volumes and SLAs.
• Ability to integrate with icare/DDC systems (e.g. HL7 or other standard healthcare interfaces where required).

Radiology Reporting Services (RFP 2) - High-level capabilities sought:

• Timely, clinically appropriate reporting of CT and X-ray studies performed by DDC and third parties, aligned to DDC’s reporting requirements.
• Specialist radiologists with experience in occupational lung disease (preferably with thoracic subspecialty).
• Reporting SLAs, peer review capability, structured reporting templates and compatibility with icare/DDC clinical records.
• Ability to integrate results and reports with icare/DDC systems (e.g. HL7 or other standard healthcare interfaces where required).
• Data security, privacy and cyber resilience measures that meet icare and NSW Government Standards
