NSW Resources Digital Asset Management System (OMNIS)
Tender ID: 596400
Tender Details
Tender Description
To procure and implement an off-the-shelf cloud-based solution as well as labour services to design, build, test and deploy the solution.
Project goals
There is a need to implement a modern system to securely manage and store a range of business-critical digital assets in various formats currently held by NSW Resources in multiple, unconnected systems.
NSW Resources’ vast digital assets include:
- Exploration reports,
- Geological Survey of NSW records (research papers, publications and maps),
- Title administration records (survey plans, mine records, exploration license conditions, working plans, record tracing documents) and
- Geotechnical reports. The current systems for storing and retrieving these data are becoming increasingly less fit for purpose and are not meeting the expectation of users in terms of ease of use and functionality.
Procuring and implementing a solution, that securely consolidates all categories of document into a unified archive system and integrates with other business systems across NSW Resources, will reduce the operational inefficiencies and risks associated with the current legacy systems.
Scope
This tender is to procure and implement an off-the-shelf cloud-based solution, eg: platform-as-a-service, (PaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and Infrastructure-as-a-solution (IaaS) as well as labour services to design, build, test and deploy the solution. The offer must include training for NSW Resources users to use the solution as designed and deployed for the organisation.
The solution must come with vendor support for the solution, ability to access certified IT professionals, independent of the solution itself or the labour services provider, after delivery as well as training for the NSW Resources Information Management team to support and maintain the solution, via comprehensive As Built and other training materials, to include a trainer-led, training program.
