This grant opportunity will run over 4 years from 2026-27 to 2029-30 and is part of the Health Peak and Advisory Bodies Program (HPAB) which supports health peak and advisory bodies (health peaks) to contribute to government policy outcomes.
The aim of the HPAB Program is to enable health peaks to contribute to the national health agenda. The HPAB Program provides the Australian Government with access to high quality health sector information to improve the capacity, quality and safety of Australia’s health care system. Health peaks will provide expert, evidence-based and impartial advice to inform current health policy and program development.
Funding for this grant opportunity will align with the scope of the work that health peaks will undertake, based on the following tiers:
Tier 1: Cross Health Sector Focus
- Health peaks with national reach that focus on cross sectoral health systems issues. These entities typically serve as umbrella bodies with broad membership bases and/or numerous affiliated sub-organisations.
Tier 2: Health Sector Priorities Focus
- National organisations addressing Government health priorities, demonstrating the ability to influence health policy within their focus area. These peak organisations may have broad membership or affiliated networks and provide expert advice and advocacy on their specific focus area.
