Tender Description
Central Highlands Regional Council (CHRC) is seeking suitably qualified engineering consultants to provide design services for the Emerald Resource Recovery Centre – Tradewaste and Stormwater Upgrade.
Services Required:
1. Engineering assessment of existing tradewaste and stormwater systems.
2. Design of upgraded filtration and pumping arrangements, including a diversion valve to reduce overload on the triple interceptor during heavy rain events.
3. Preparation of detailed design drawings, specifications, and a basis of design report.
4. Recommendations to ensure compliance with the Environmental Protection Act, relevant Australian Standards, and CHRC’s Environmental Authority.
Timing:
1. Contract commencement: November 2025 (indicative).
2. Key deliverables required by April 2026.
Location:
1. Services relate to the Emerald Resource Recovery Centre, Emerald QLD.
2. While site inspection may be required, much of the work can be undertaken remotely.
CHRC welcomes proposals from suppliers with demonstrated capability and experience in environmental engineering, wastewater, and stormwater design.
