Tender Description
Trunk Infrastructure Upgrades are intended to support the future delivery of new housing in Ayr and surrounding localities. The project scope includes hydraulic modelling of trunk water and sewerage infrastructure, survey, geotechnical testing, and full road and drainage design to achieve shovel-ready, ‘for construction’ documentation. The work will identify the supporting infrastructure upgrades required at each site to enable development, including an assessment of site constraints and development capacity.
This planning and design package will provide Council and the development sector with clear, investment-ready infrastructure solutions. It will streamline future housing delivery by removing uncertainty, expediting approvals, and providing clarity on the cost and timing of essential infrastructure works. The project will apply best practice engineering, planning, and project delivery principles to support timely, strategic housing growth. The ultimate objective is to facilitate faster construction of new homes, improve housing affordability, and increase supply across the region.
