Tender Description
The Council of the City of Sydney (the City) invites tenders for the delivery of Parks and Street Greening Maintenance Services (the Contract) in accordance with this Request for Tender.
The City of Sydney Local Government Area (the Sydney LGA) covers 26.15 square kilometres, within the Sydney metropolitan area. It comprises 33 suburbs extending from Sydney Harbour at Dawes Point, south to Rosebery and from Annandale in the west to Paddington in the east.
The City's Parks and Street Greening network of over 216 hectares is one of the City's most important social, economic and environmental assets, with an asset value over $819 million.
Parks and Street Greening provide for a range of competing uses and may serve a variety of functions, including active and passive recreation, socialising, events, heritage conservation, wildlife habitat, and other environmental services. The City is dedicated to providing equitable access to Parks and Street Greening assets across the Sydney LGA.
Parks include historically significant Victorian style parks with annual Floral Bedding Displays, contemporary Parks, playgrounds, Sports Fields, and terrestrial and aquatic Bush Restoration Areas.
The City has developed a reputation for excellence in service provision, by delivering comprehensive planned, reactive and emergency Services responsive to the needs of the community.
The City aims to provide best practice, internationally recognised Park management and service delivery, working in partnership with providers to ensure Parks and Street Greening assets are kept to high standards and are safe, attractive, clean, sustainable and accessible.
The Initial Term of the Contract will be for five (5) years, with two (2) Further Terms of two (2) years each. The total possible Contract Term is nine years.
The City will hold a formal briefing for Tenderers via Microsoft Teams on a day during the week beginning Tuesday 7 October 2025 (noting that Monday 6 October is a public holiday). More information in relation to the exact date and time will be provided via Tender Addendum.
At the briefing, the City's Representative will discuss, answer or clarify any issues raised by a Tenderer about any requirements in the Request for Tender. Council is not obliged to answer any questions before the briefing.
Tenderers must submit their responses to this Request for Tender in the manner required by this document.
