Tender Description
The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing is seeking suitably qualified and experienced parties to provide translating, interpreting, Auslan and Deaf Interpreting, and Other Sign Languages and translating services (Language Services).
The objective of this project is to establish a panel of language service providers for the provision of language services, to support the department and Community Service Organisations funded by the department (funded organisations) to deliver culturally, and linguistically appropriate services to vulnerable Victorians.
The scope of this project includes:
- The provision of language services to the department and its funded organisations on an as required basis, performed either face-to-face or remotely (e.g. via phone or video conferencing equipment), to aid effective communication with clients, making services and programs more accessible to people, regardless of their written or spoken English skills.
- The provision of appropriately qualified and accredited interpreters.
- NAATI certified and NAATI-recognised interpreters and translators to provide language services for a broad, non-exhaustive range of languages.
- Transcriptions services
- The provision of agile reporting to the department’s nominated representative(s). Reporting may include but is not limited to reporting on language services usage, expenditure, and other contract performance related reporting. Please note that the format of reporting may change from time to time at the department’s discretion.
- The Service providers are responsible for ensuring that all its approved subcontractors comply with these specifications. The Service providers should not refer enquiries relating to its subcontractor’s performance of the services to the subcontractor, unless agreed by the DFFH delegate.
