DRFA concrete services (Reichle and O’Connor Road)

Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) Construction and Maintenance South (CMS) is currently Reconstructing Essential Public Assets (REPA) as part of the January 2024 DRFA Flood Recovery Program. Included in the REPA scope is the replacement of an existing culvert structure on Reichle Road (CH3000), Yandilla, and the reconstruction of bed level crossing on O’Connor Road (CH7050), Cattle Creek.

Both projects are to be delivered concurrently by CMS, with works on O’Connor Road to fit in with concrete curing times on Reichle Road. All works are required to be completed by March 2026. Council expects to begin earthworks in September 2025.

Council wishes to procure services of an experienced concreting crew to construct all in-situ concrete elements for both projects.

The works to be undertaken include the steelwork, formwork, concreting and finishing of all in-situ concrete elements for both project. This includes;

Reichle Road Replacement Culvert Works

•  One (1) concrete base slab, including blinding slab
•  Two (2) aprons, including cut off walls and blinding slabs
•  Two (2) end structures to culverts, including wingwalls and headwalls
•  Concrete margins (road formation / slab on ground)
•  Concrete batters (outside road formation including cut off walls)

O’Connor Road Bed Level Crossing

• One (1) concrete bed level crossing, including cut off walls and blinding slab

The successful Contractor will be required to work efficiently to complete the required works, in accordance with the design drawings and specifications MRTS70 Concrete and MRTS71 Reinforcing Steel.
