Tender Description
To establish Contract for Revision of mercury in freshwater and marine water default guidelines values (DGVs) for the following mercury types: the Total mercury, Organic, and Inorganic. And also, the effect of biomagnification.
A proposal for revision of the ANZECC/ARMCANZ (2000) default trigger values (nowadays referred to as default guideline values or DGVs) for mercury in freshwater and marine water was approved by both Water Quality Policy Sub Committee (WQPSC) and Project Coordination Group (PCG) in December 2023. The proposal includes a list of recent scientific articles that have been published since 2000 on the toxicity of mercury exposure to freshwater and marine biota. An approach to market is required to progress the next step, as defined by the current scope of work (SoW).
This draft scope of work describes the requirements needed to develop DGVs for mercury in freshwater and marine water and associated technical briefs and supporting data files.
