Tender Description

DFES is seeking information and options from the market to assess the feasibility of Group Teleconferencing and/or dispatch messaging systems as proof of concept, with the aim of evaluating operational impacts and the ability to integrate with DFES platforms and applications.

Incidents

The identified system(s) will be used to send dispatch messages and communicate with emergency responders for attendance at any hazard, anywhere in the state of WA.

Benefits

• Increased efficiency of communications with an upgraded communications platform designed for emergency services personnel to manage incident response.

• Shared information through integration with DFES platforms

• Conferencing ability to share voice and data information relevant to emerging incidents in real time with all stakeholders at the same time.

• Increased safety for the community via the real time communication between the ComCen and responders.

• Standardise the way volunteers from all BGU’s are dispatched.

Scope:

DFES currently manages Group Call List updates (Add/Delete/Modify) through a paper-based request system. Requests are submitted by BGUs or Regional DO/AO/CESM to the List Manager for approval, and once approved, the request is forwarded to CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) Administrators for manual updates in the Group Call application.

DFES requires a digital solution that streamlines this process with a built-in workflow and approval system. The solution should allow requests to be managed at the regional level, with each Region/BGU only able to view and access information relevant to them. This would improve efficiency and reduce the reliance on manual processes.

Please note that this Request for Information is market analysis only. Any future contract and/or purchase will be completed through a separate procurement process in accordance with WA Government Policy.
