ABOUT THE TENDER

The AU Teaching Spaces project is a joint initiative between the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia to upgrade and refurbish key teaching and learning environments across both campuses. The works focus on improving lecture theatres, tutorial rooms, and informal student spaces to meet current teaching requirements and support modern learning methods.

For the University of Adelaide, this package includes refurbishment of Badger Lecture Theatre, and Chapman Lecture Theatre. The upgrades involve new finishes, lighting, audio-visual systems, seating, and compliance improvements to deliver high-quality, flexible teaching environments in time for Semester 1, 2026 (6th February 2026).

The University is seeking an experienced Principal Contractor with a strong track record in managing fit out and refurbishment projects in live campus or institutional environments. Minimising disruption to University operations and maintaining a safe working environment will be critical to the success of this project.
