RFT - Willinda Park Lighting Upgrade

⁠⁠⁠Council is seeking tenders from qualified and capable contractors for the Wilinda Park Lighting Upgrade located at 21A Talbot Street, Greensborough Vic 3088.

The project is split into three distinct stages. Depending on lump sum prices Council may award all stages under this contract or a reduced number of stages to fit within the budget.

The three stages are:

• Stage 1 – Group metering work, all site cabling, pits and 5 carpark lights

• Stage 2 – Supply and install remaining carpark lighting

• Stage 3 – Supply and install sportsfield lighting

The scope of works is generally as depicted below, which includes but is not limited to:

• Liaise with Electricity Distribution Business (AusNet) regarding disconnection and removal of the existing redundant power supplies and services;

• Liaison with the Electricity Distribution Business (Ausnet) to ensure timely connection of electricity supply to the project;

• Arrange with Ausnet (as recommended by the Superintendent), for the supply and installation of new CT’s and meters and arrange connections, inspections etc;

• New MSB / supply connection facility;

• Installation of all underground cables via directional boring (not trenching);

• Install new distribution boards;

• Modifications to existing switchboards;

• Balance loads over three phases at each switchboard;

• Lighting poles and associated footings for sports lighting and carpark lighting (pending funding);

• Install sports floodlights (pending funding);

• Install carpark lighting (pending funding);

• Authority approvals (including Building Permit and structural designs);

• Removal of redundant poles, cable, pits and equipment;

• Testing and commissioning;

• Operational and Maintenance Manuals; and

• 12 months defects liability.

In addition to the above, Contractors are to visit the site and make their own investigation and assessment of site conditions.
