IRTS (Integrated Radio and Telephony System)

⁠⁠⁠The primary purpose of the RFI is to seek information from industry on potential delivery solutions and pricing options for Radio and Telephony Systems for use in Transport Operation Centres.

Project goals

Transport is seeking technologies and capabilities to support future state communication processes of its operation centres.

TfNSW views this RFI as an opportunity for parties across the information, digital, and telecommunications industries to contribute information based on their subject matter expertise to solve this problem.

TfNSW encourages participation, acknowledging that participation is completely voluntary. TfNSW may use information provided to inform and help shape any scope of work for any future procurement process.

Transport will consider both on premise and cloud solutions. Please include constraints such as any network considerations for each. The new system/s could be an integrated radio and telephony system or separate systems for radio and telephony.

Scope

Transport is eager to embrace new technologies to improved efficiencies and encourage respondents to highlight emerging and roadmap features that support this such as:

1) Video streaming capability for a member of the public or Transport field crew to use their mobile phone to stream video to an operator console;

2) Ability for Voice to Text of incident details from a caller and integrations into relevant systems;

3) Ability to receive geo-location information from a radio or caller mobile. Location information could be used by system to display on a map or direct a caller to appropriate agent queue;

4) Pre Recorded Voice if the customer is reporting for similar Incident/Fault;

5) Automated Communications to report incidents to Field Crew;

6) Ability to send text messages with information retrieved through an integration with an external system;

7) AI that can communicate with a caller in their preferred language;

8) AI features to summarise customer interactions, suggesting follow-up actions, and automating wrap-up tasks;

9) AI strategy for product.

TfNSW invites experienced and skilled companies with demonstrated expertise in delivering related services as explained above to register for the RFI by submitting a signed Confidentiality Deed Poll (in the form provided at Attachment 1 of this Invitation) via email to kashif.shabih@transport.nsw.gov.au. and preet.kaur2@transport.nsw.gov.au. Please note that the contents of the Confidentiality Deed Poll are non-negotiable. Upon receipt of a duly executed Confidentiality Deed Poll in accordance with this Invitation, TfNSW will share RFI documents through email.

Opportunity requirements

1. Condition of Participation

Though it's not a condition of participation to this RFI, TfNSW would expect that the Respondent that might like to participate in the subsequent procurement phases (EOI and / or RFP) will be mandated to demonstrate that it is prequalified as an “advanced registered supplier” under the NSW Government ICT Services scheme SCM0020 under the following sub-category: •

P01 Fixed, mobile, satellite, networking equipment at the time of the award of the contract.
