Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) is conducting a Request for Tender (RFT) process for the provision of medical services across seven (7) selected as per the specifications of this Tender.

Project goals

Objectives of the Service and this Contract:

2. securing high-quality clinicians to deliver timely, appropriate, and accessible services
3. providing medical services that patients value and are satisfied with
4. ensuring value for money for WNSWLHD
5. supporting sustainable health services in communities
6. establishing seamless partnerships with primary care
7. focusing on health outcomes that matter to patients and enhancing their care experience

These objectives shift the focus from the volume of care provided to patients to one that recognises the importance of outcomes and provides a lens through which to implement medical officer services

Scope

WNSWLHD is seeking to procure Medical Officer services for the following seven WNSWLHD facilities.

1. Bourke Multipurpose Service (MPS)
2. Brewarrina MPS
3. Cobar Hospital
4. Collarenebri MPS
5. Coonamble MPS noting that the provider is obligated to provide services to Residential Aged Care (RAC) residents in Gulargambone as outlined in section 3.3.4.
6. Lightning Ridge MPS
7. Walgett MPS
