Expressions of interest (EOI) are being sought from persons or organisations interested in operating the Council swimming pool(s) at Coleambally, Darlington Point and Jerilderie for the 2025-2026 season.

This fixed term contract will run from 1 November to 31 March.

Fees, cost and income opportunities

Council provides a management fee of $52,500 per swimming pool for the season.

In addition, we cover chemical and pool maintenance costs.

Pool contractors have the opportunity to generate income through kiosk sales and by hosting functions or events.

Please note - Council pools offer free entry to all patrons.

Responsibilities

• opening and closing the facility
• undertaking daily water testing in accordance with public health guidelines
• maintaining chemical levels according to public health guidelines
• reporting all incidents and maintenance requirements to Council
• cleaning the facilities, including the grounds and amenities, pools, kiosk and ancillary amenities such as seating and concourse areas
• promoting the pool on the respective Facebook swimming pool page and following the Murrumbidgee Council Media and Communication Policy(PDF, 820KB) and Code of Conduct.

About the local pools

Coleambally Swimming Pool

Located on Falcon Road, this facility includes a 25-metre lap and recreational pool, a shaded medium pool and a shaded toddler's pool. Amenities include change rooms, shaded picnic tables and BBQ.

Darlington Point War Memorial Swimming Pool

Situated on Stock Street, this welcoming country pool features a 25 metre lap and recreational pool, a shaded medium pool and a shaded toddler's pool. Additional amenities include a kiosk, table tennis, change rooms and shaded picnic tables and a BBQ. A new splash park is located adjacent to the swimming pool.

Jerilderie Swimming Pool

Located at 119 Jerilderie Street, this modern facility includes a 25 metre, 6 lane lap and recreational pool. It also features a shaded wader's pool with water fountains. The pool precinct includes change rooms, shaded seating and a BBQ.

Opening hours

• Tuesday to Friday 6:00 am to 10:00 am and 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm
• Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.
• Closed Mondays

• Life Saving Certificate
• First Aid Certificate
• valid Working With Children's Check
• past experience
