UniSC has a number of targets in terms of its sustainability and efficiency. Part of the university’s strategic planning is to utilise solar installations to reduce CO2 emissions and reduce the operating costs of electrical energy in its campus’.

The A1 “Foundation Building” at the Moreton Bay campus has been selected for a solar installation at this time. The building appears to have capacity for around 710kW of solar panels with the ability to connect to the two MSBs in the ground floor of the building. Provision to connect a future Battery Energy Storage System BESS will also be provided as part of the works.
