Expressions of interest are open to join the Pacific Peoples Member Advisory Group.
Description
The Advisory Group will have at least 6 members. Most will be of Pacific heritage and either trainees or Fellows of the College.
The following positions are open:
- Chair – must be of Pacific heritage
- Deputy Chair – this role is intended to succeed the Chair and must also be of Pacific heritage
- General Members – open to RACP trainees and Fellows
- Independent Community Member – this role doesn't have voting rights
ShapeThe Pacific Peoples Member Advisory Group aims to enhance the representation and influence of members who identify as Pacific peoples’ within the College, and integrate Pacific perspectives and priorities into College policies and initiatives to support high quality culturally safe education and training.
The establishment of this Advisory Group aligns with our Indigenous Strategic Framework, which recognises the 3 spheres of indigeneity and the need for tailored approaches for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, Māori, and Pacific peoples.
The Advisory Group reports to the RACP Board and makes recommendations on relevant matters.
