The Australian Government is inviting SNAICC – National Voice for our Children Limited via a one-off ad hoc process to apply to deliver services under the Program 2.1—Families and Communities, Safe and Supported: The National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children 2021–2031.
The SNAICC National Conference 2025 (SNAICC’25) will be held on Yuggera/Turrbal Country in Meanjin at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from 7–9 October 2025.
The purpose of the grant is to support the SNAICC National Conference 2025 and the event’s focus on advancing the rights, safety, and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families through shared knowledge, practices, and policies. It contributes to the achievement of Safe and Supported program outcomes, specifically the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander First Action Plan 2023–2026.
This work is part of broader efforts under the National Agreement on Closing the Gap, which is transforming how governments collaborate with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and their organisations. Furthermore, Australia’s non-government sector strongly supports the implementation of these priority reforms and is committed to playing an active role in this transformation. It also contributes to the achievement of outcome 2.1 Families and Communities of the Department of Social Services’ (the department) the Portfolio Budget Statement outcome 2.1 Families and Communities of the Department of Social Services (the department), which aims to contribute to stronger and more resilient individuals, children, families and communities by providing targeted supports.
