Description of Services

South East Water (SEW) operates eight (8) Water Recycling Plants. The primary undertaking at these sites is sewage treatment and the production of recycled water. The facilities at each location differs in complexity based on the size of the site and the manner in which the effluent is treated. This document outlined the requirements for general minor earthmoving, clearing and associated civil services at South East Water’s water recycling plants. Works may include, but not be limited to, the general scope of services outlined below. For clarity of intent, this scope is aimed primarily at maintenance and repair of existing assets. New works will be quoted separately and not performed under this contract. Further details relating to performance of the scope of services is provided in the following sections of this document.

Scope of Services

Clearing and Grubbing, for example, stump removal and/or general clearing and site cleanup which may require soil removal and/disposal.
Emergency response (containment of spills, or any possible combination of the services outlined in this scope of services).
Excavation less than 1m deep, movement and compaction of soil for minor earthworks and/or landscaping mounds. For example, biosolids stockpiles.
Lagoon and sludge drying pan repairs (repairs due to vehicular damage, harvesting, slumping and/or erosion).
Minor concrete repairs and improvements.
Removal of unsafe and / or unwanted items such as waste steel / concrete, trees, timber, fencing, etc.
Road maintenance including gravel and bitumen.
Seeding/hydroseeding.
Site cuts for general levelling (for safety or temporary works such as site huts or similar).
Site Remediation (following temporary works such as site huts or similar).
Sludge Management Services.
Waterway/Conduit/Irrigation/Drainage (repairs, reinstatement due to flood damage, swales, culverts, minor stormwater pipework, car parks).
