Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $17 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $154 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and capable delivery partner for the project: Australian Nashi Industry Study Tour - Japan, South Korea, and China (NA24001).
The RFP will require respondents to:
1. Develop a targeted 7–8 day international itinerary addressing key varietal challenges for the Australian Nashi Industry
• Visit and facilitate access to growers, research institutes, and breeders in Japan, South Korea, and China
2. Focus on varietal traits of interest, including reduced thinning, low chill, shelf life, storage resilience, skin toughness, and flavour profiles
• Document and disseminate findings through a post-tour industry report and grower workshops
3. Ensure integration with the NA22000 project
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process, and the information required from interested parties.
