Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) is a professional fire and rescue service for the communities it serves in Victoria. FRV was established in 2020 through reforms to the Fire Rescue Victoria Act 1958 (the Act), bringing together resources from the pre-existing Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) and the Country Fire Authority (CFA).

FRV has a team of over 4000 operational and operatioal support professionals. As a Victorian statutory body, FRV's governance, education, advocacy and prevention work is informed by various legislative frameworks.

FRV currently operates 85 fire stations across Victoria, with over 40% in regional areas, specialising in providing support to urban, peri-urban and industrial settings. FRV Firefighters respond to fires, complex rescues, road crashes, emergency medical calls and hazardous chemical spills.

FRV's people are highly trained and ready to respond to emergencies across Victoria, Australia, and the world.

FRV is seeking responses to this Request for Tender 24/031 for an ongoing requirement to provide plumbing inspection and compliance services at sites across the State of Victoria nominated by FRV as set out in the tender documentation.

The purpose of the Services is to ensure that FRV meets its statutory maintenance responsibilities, achieves water efficiency and safety, and improves FRV’s plumbing systems and include:

• preventative maintenance including planned regular scheduled inspections, maintenance; and
• corrective maintenance including:
• corrective maintenance of defects identified; and
• fault maintenance.

It is proposed to establish one contract across the range of requirements to best deliver on time, value for money and fit for purpose solution for FRV.
