Horsham Rural City Council (HRCC) invites contractors with extensive experience in bridge and steel construction to tender for the Gross Bridge Retrofitting in the Rural City of Horsham.

The project entails rectification works on Gross Bridge using Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer. The Contractor is to provide all labour, materials, materials transport, plant and equipment, qualified construction, and installation expertise, permits and subcontractor assistance to enable the completion of the works.

The work under the contract includes but is not limited to:

1. Supply and installation of CFRP laminate
2. Clean the underside of the I-beams to ensure proper bonding of the carbon fibre to the steel surface.
3. Follow All guidelines and requirements in Project Specification- Gross bridge retrofitting
4. All Permits, as applicable;
5. Site security and safety
6. Clean-up and site remediation

A noncompulsory site meeting will be held Wednesday 21 May 2025, commencing at 10:30 am until approx 12:00 noon, at Gross Bridge (crossing of Wimmera River) on the Drung Jung Road, coordinates 36.7207, 142.3285.

Tenders marked “25-017, Gross Bridge Retrofitting”, must be uploaded to the tendering portal in one zipped folder.

Council is not bound to accept any or lowest tender.

Late tenders will not be considered.

Electronic Tenders will only be accepted through Council’s e-Portal.

All enquiries regarding this tender must be submitted through the electronic portal where the option to post a question is situated.

Questions relating to this tender will be answered until 12 Noon on Wednesday 22 May 2025. Questions lodged post this time will not be responded to.
