Yanga Woolshed Foundation Repairs

This project aims to repair the floors and walls of Yanga Woolshed by returning them to their original level positions through the replacement of timber stumps and bearers.

Project goals

Yanga Woolshed floors and walls returned to their original level positions through the replacement of timber stumps and bearers to provide a safer visitor experience and ensure the preservation of the historic heritage building.

Scope

Yanga Woolshed A – Sweating Pens (225m2)

• remove flooring to replace approx. 120 stumps and any required structural bearers to raise flooring level approx. 200-250mm then refit 10 internal posts
• remove galvanised iron sheets from exterior wall to replace load bearing wall stumps

Yanga Woolshed B – Shearers Board (55m2)

• remove flooring to replace approx. 15 stumps and any required structural bearers to raise flooring level approx. 200-250mm
• raise and adjust galvanised iron barrier wall between Shearer’s Board and catching pens

Flooring and wall cladding removed are to be returned to original location and using original fixtures.
