State Sport Centres Trust is responsible for the management and operation of the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, the State Netball and Hockey Centre, Lakeside Stadium and the Knox Regional Sports Park, which includes the State Basketball Centre.

Legacy Emergency & Exit Lighting systems require replacement across all venues. In 2024 294 units at MSAC were updated from Stanilite Emergency & Exit Lights to the Australian Clevertronics system. This system has also been commissioned into the buildings at the Knox Regional Sports Park. in 2023.

It is now proposed to replace all remaining end of life Stanilite fittings remaining at all venues.

Replacing the remaining legacy Stanilite fittings at all venues will result in cost savings through decreased maintenance and replacement. Migrating the entire system to the best practice Clevertronics system also allows staff and contractors to remotely monitor and manage all sites under one virtual server and undertake an operational test in a matter of minutes. Compared with a period of weeks for the legacy Stanilite systems.

Operational testing is required twice yearly under AS2293.
