Glenelg Shire Council is seeking submissions from suitably qualified contractors to complete various works to refurbish the Little Athletics/ Cricket Pavilion located at Island Park in Casterton.

SCOPE OF WORKS

Glenelg Shire Council is seeking submissions from suitably qualified contractors to complete various works to refurbish the Little Athletics/ Cricket Pavilion located at Island Park in Casterton. The refurbishment aims to make improvements to the pavilion that will have positive impacts on all user groups such as improved kitchen facilities, improved amenities etc.

We request that items be quoted in accordance with the table provided in the Quote schedule document and invite contractors to quote on one or multiple items.

We would like works to be completed by 30 June 2025. We will however consider part of the works to be completed after this date. Respondents are asked to clearly detail those works that can be completed by 30 June 2025, and those works that will be completed later – with details of what those completion dates will be. Please provide the reason for those works that cannot be completed by the 30 June 2025.

Site inspections are available. Please contact the Project Manager after Tuesday 15th April 2025. 

Electrical – entire pavilion as follows – power connection is located at the North of the Pavilion.

  • Garage – one light and one double power point in each bay (2 bays)
  • Changerooms – LED lights sufficient for the space and 3 double power points
  • Kitchen – lights sufficient for the space and 4 double power points
  • Toilets – LED lights sufficient for the space
  • Verandah – external lights to be installed on verandah
  • Building – external lights to be installed on South and West side of building to light path of travel from oval to car park

Kitchen – refurbishment of kitchen as follows

  • Fit out with new cabinetry, please provide a design/layout and costing for cabinetry. Cabinetry is to be located under the servery and along the wall opposite the servery (west wall). An oven is to be included on the west wall, cost is to include the removal of existing cabinetry
  • Please provide a drawing/mark up of proposed cabinetry design. 2024-25-67 7
  • New roller door to servery (east side facing oval)
  • Roller door to be removed and sealed on the west wall
  • Dividing wall to be removed between kitchen and office to make a large kitchen space (engineering attached – Wall W1)
  • Replace fixed window beside servery with a sliding window 

Changerooms – refurbishment to changerooms as follows

  • Hot water services x 2 units to be removed
  • Shower cubicle walls to be removed
  • External door to be installed on East wall for direct access to front verandah (engineering attached Door D1)
  • Door to be installed between changerooms and existing garage (engineering attached Door D2)

 Toilets – refurbishment to existing toilets

  • new basin in male and female toilets
  • cover in gaps in brickwork to protect from weather and insects – male and female.
  • locks on toilet doors - male and female
  • new urinal in male toilets

 Entire Pavilion

  • ew PA doors and door frames throughout – most doors are external facing – please quote on suitable doors.
  • Existing Lintel (engineering advice attached Lintel L1) on west side of building to be addressed as per engineering advice
  • Veranda – there will be modification works to the verandah (engineering will be attached as an addendum when available)
  • Painting – external and internal walls – colour to be determined with project manager.
