The Principal invites the Tenderer to submit a Tender for the Detailed Design & Construction of Sanctuary Fence, at Wilsons Promontory National Park.

[Parks Victoria (PV) is seeking an experienced team of invasive species sanctuary fence professionals of professionals to undertake the detailed designs and construction of the Sanctuary fence; a customised fence whose purpose is to prevent the entry of invasive species to help restoring the natural ecological balance as well as enhancing habitat quality and facilitating the re-establishment of native species at Wilsons Promontory National Park (the Prom).

The Sanctuary fence is to be built across the Yanakie Isthmus which presents environmental challenges such as coastal erosion, fluctuating tidal zones, sensitive dunes, coastal acid sulphate soils (CASS) and a diverse range of soil types and vegetation.

Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Cultural Heritage, Environmental, Geomorphological, Hydrological, Geotechnical and CASS assessments were conducted across the landscape to inform both the design and alignment of the Sanctuary fence.

To address this unique landscape, a comprehensive study was commissioned to inform on best practices for sanctuary fence designs, specifications as well as recommendations for its construction.

The deliverables will be detailed design and construction of the fence, with supporting electrical and monitoring systems, including development of an asset management plan and user manuals alongside a one-day allowance for training of staff as part of handover.
