NZ Transport Agency is seeking a physical works contractor to undertake the design and construction of a new SH25 Pepe Stream Bridge in Tairua.

The SH25 Pepe Stream Bridge project involves replacing the existing single lane vehicle bridge and separate pedestrian footbridge, with a new two-way bridge and shared use path, and upgrade to the SH25 / Pepe Road intersection.

This Registration of Interest (ROI) is the first stage of a two-stage procurement process. It is open to all interested applicants who possess current NZTA Contractor Prequalification Level 3B and 4B accreditation. Applicants are only required to complete and return Appendix B Questionnaire (provided), and only two will be shortlisted to participate in an interactive RFT process.

Following the ROI process, the two shortlisted participants will develop a Concept Preliminary Design during the RFT, to be submitted along with a programme, methodology and price.

Following the RFT process, the successful tenderer will be responsible for completing the Detail Design, preparing all consent applications (NZTA to submit), and provide a price to construct by applying an Open Book approach, using a cost reconciliation process during Separable Portion 1. Construction of the bridge will be Separable Portion 2.
