Expressions of Interest (EOI) are invited from organisations wishing to be pre-registered to tender as subcontractors for the proposed contract for Baryulgil River Water Supply Construction Project (head contract).

It should be noted that respondents to this call for EOI will NOT be engaged directly by DCCEEW (referred to in this Request for EOI as ‘the Principal’), but rather by the Head Contractor engaged under the separate head contract RFT.

The Request for Tender (RFT) for head contract will be tendered separately and the Head Contractor (upon appointment) shall use the pre-registered ‘preferred subcontractors’ (from this EOI) only.

Scope

The scope of work to be delivered by the preferred subcontractor includes:

• Design and supply of a multi barrier, packaged Water Treatment Plant (WTP) to produce at least 70kL of potable water over 22 hours of operation from raw water sourced from the Clarence River (refer Attachment 1 - Preliminary Water Quality Summary).
• WTP to be complete with raw water balance tank, membrane filtration, GAC adsorption, UV disinfection and chlorine disinfection.
• WTP to be fully automated and suitable for unattended operation with remote monitoring and control of key elements due to irregular Operator attendance.

The Head Contractor may include scope in their sub-contract additional to the above (e.g. delivery, installation, commissioning, etc.), with the above overview outlining the minimum work that must to be delivered by the preferred subcontractor.
