Currently the existing filtration systems located at the Proserpine Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), 12454 Bruce Highway, Proserpine 4800, performance indicates some damage has occurred to the laterals within all the Waterco SMDD 2500 Pressure Sand Filters. This is causing unknown volumes of media to be sent to waste during the filter’s sequencing completion of their automated backwash to remove particulates from the media and maintain <15mg/l Total Suspended Solids (TSS). Given this ongoing issue and the age and location of the system, the Principal is requiring the replacement of the four (4) Waterco SMDD 2500 Pressure Sand Filters and media in lieu of trying to complete a full rebuild/repair.
The Principal is seeking an experienced Contractor to replace the existing pressure Sand Filters and media at the Proserpine STP with four (4) new Waterco Pressure Sand Filters Model SMDD 2500 or suitable equivalent. This must include:
a) Supply.
b) Transport.
c) All temporary works.
d) Installation.
e) Pre-testing.
f) Commissioning; and
g) Performance verification of the replacement Pressure Sand Filters.
