Artspace HVAC Mechanical Services Remediation

⁠⁠⁠Mackay Regional Council (Council) invites suitably qualified and experienced Tenderers for the investigation, modification, upgrade, installation, integration and commissioning of mechanical services systems associated with the Artspace Heating Ventilation and Airconditioning (HVAC) Mechanical Services Remediation project at 61 Gordon Street, Mackay (the Site).

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Works are required to address identified deficiencies in temperature and humidity control and to achieve compliant, reliable and fit for purpose environmental conditions suitable for an operational public gallery facility.

Artspace Mackay is a key cultural and community facility which will remain operational during the execution of the Works. The Contractor will be required to plan, stage and coordinate the Works to minimise disruption to operations, exhibitions, events and stakeholders, in accordance with the Contract.

The mechanical services design has been prepared by the Principal’s Consultant. The Contractor is responsible for the execution and completion of the Works in accordance with the Contract, including the Drawings and Specification, and for the review, verification and coordination of the design as required under the Contract.

NATURE OF THE CONTRACT

The Contract Sum is a Lump Sum with a priced Bill of Quantities as described in the General Conditions of the Contract.

The Principal intends to award the whole Contract to one (1) Tenderer, or not at all, at its sole discretion

40 weeks to Practical Completion

SITE INSPECTION / BRIEFING

Tenderers are strongly encouraged to attend the site inspection to familiarise themselves with the site conditions, access constraints, and the nature and extent of the Works

Tenderers are responsible for obtaining all information necessary to prepare an accurate and complete submission, including all conditions that may impact the delivery of the Works.

Council will not accept claims for additional costs or variations arising from a Tenderer’s failure to adequately inform themselves of site conditions or access requirements that could reasonably have been identified during the site inspection.
