The works include Lavarack Barracks, located in Townsville, North Queensland. The Base is used for training exercises and operational requirements, supporting infantry, armour, and amphibious capabilities.

The scope of the new DFI (G) at Lavarack Barracks includes replacing the existing underground tanks, which involves the following:

1) Installation of above-ground self-bunded storage tank(s) with 200,000L diesel and integration with existing DFI (G), noting that the existing support facilities / provisions meet the users’ requirements

2) Removal of underground storage tanks

3) Bowser Replacements; and

4) Upgrade tanker loading system

The works include Borneo Barracks, which is located 20 km outside of Toowoomba in the Darling Downs region of SQLD. The Base is used for training exercises and operational requirements, supporting electronic warfare capabilities and schools.

The scope at Borneo Barracks includes creating a new DFI (G) and relocating the existing system to the new site, which involves the following:

1) A. establishment of a new DFI (G) site; and

2) B. relocation of 44,000L diesel above-ground self-bunded storage tank from interim site to new site

The works include JORN Longreach, located in Longreach, Central QLD. The base consists of a receiver and transmitter site, supporting the RAAF's over-the-horizon radar capabilities.

The scope of work for the new DFI (P/G) at JORN Longreach includes the following:

1) provide existing bunded areas that are compliant with Australian Standards

2) provide automated/remotely monitored tank gauges to incorporate high/high level alarm and automatic shut off valves that prevent ‘tank overfills’

3) provide for a compliant turning circle at the offload point for triple fuel tanker vehicle to incorporate both turning circle configurations in addition to requiring civil road remediation to prevent potential bogging in wet weather environment

4) provide for the replacement of the existing Diesel bowser and associated UPP pipeline associated with the new installation at both the Tx and Rx sites

5) provide for the removal of the existing tank level air gauge system and replacement of compliant tank level monitoring system to include for a level transmitter, audible and visual alarm, and HMI panel for the ATG level display

6) provide automated tank monitoring in line with the standardised DFI (P) controls system design

7) ensure all facilities are bunded as per Australian Standards, including DFI (G) forecourt areas; and

8) compliance works to incorporate the Evaporative Pond weir and other interceptor and wastewater management issues to ensure that the site works effectively.
