Tender Description
Upgrade to include:
1. Improved accessible access to existing pedestrian links.
2. Implementation of an array of accessible seating within the town centre.
3. Construction of a terrace platform with associated placemaking within the Town Centre.
4. Inclusion of water sensitive urban design and its integration with the landscape design is crucial to ensure the new infrastructure sit well in the space and don’t over impose on the area.
5. A suitable water feature to be included within the Town Centre.
6. Extension of the footpath treatment, west along the Great Western Highway frontage. This will alleviate numerous trip hazards improving the accessibility into the Town Centre.
7. Reconfiguration of carpark and laneways for pedestrian amenity in accordance with the Blaxland masterplan.
8. The Blue Mountains is a special and sensitive environment. The design should respond to the context of the site, while meeting functional requirements in a harmonious way.
9. Lighting review and design with the objective to improve pedestrian amenity and safety with an overarching aim to activate the space.
10. Electrical upgrade providing 3 phase power with an aim to further activate the site.
11. Addition of accessible seating and disable carparking space outside Outrim Park
12. Identify potential for integrating creative/artistic elements into design features.
Scope
Deliver high street, arts and culture, and community infrastructure improvements to Blaxland Town Centre.
