Provision of Expert Technical Advice for Gas Pipeline Specifications

⁠⁠⁠Combining major project delivery experts from the Public Transport Authority and Main Roads Western Australia, OMTID delivers major transport projects with a cost of over $100 million.

With projects spanning from Albany to the Kimberley, OMTID expects to deliver over $11 billion worth of projects over the next three to four years. A major facet of these project deliveries encompasses works associated with the relocation of utility gas transmission and gas distribution systems that are under the ownership of various entities. To enhance OMTIDs project delivery, the services of a Consultant is required for the provision of technical advice to various OMTID project delivery teams as well as the broader Transport Portfolio members:

• The Public Transport Authority of Western Australia
• Main Roads Western Australia   
• The Department of Transport

As an overview, the Consultant will be required to review and analyse technical pipeline and gas infrastructure designs and provide advice on the design and fitness for purpose. The Consultant must possess a significant understanding of the Western Australian and Australian gas regulatory regimes, business models, commercial drivers and risks associated with operating gas utility companies, as well as audit and assurance capabilities relating to gas infrastructure designs.

For the purposes of this Request for Quote, the Public Transport Authority (PTA) may engage the services of the Consultant on behalf of itself, the Department of Transport (DoT), and Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA), including Portfolio Units Transwa, Office of Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery (OMTID), Transport Portfolio Land and Property Services (TPLPS), and Transport Porfolio Aboriginal Engagement (TPAE).
