Tender Description
To establish a panel of contractors to carry out services in priority weed management in parts of the Eyre Peninsula and SA Arid Lands as per the SA Arid Lands and Eyre Peninsula Flood Recovery Program.
In 2022 severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfalls associated with Cyclone Tiffany impacted much of South Australia, with the more extreme storms causing disruption and damage to communities in the SA Arid Lands and Eyre Peninsula regions.
Many landholders remain exposed to biosecurity risks, including establishment of new weeds, spread and increased density of existing weeds.
A two-year coordinated weed and pest management program is being implemented by PIRSA and the Landscape Boards to support the recovery of the flood affected regions. The project aims to reduce the economic burden of weed and pest management on recovering landholders as well as improve landholder capability and resilience to respond to future flood events.
