Homes Victoria is inviting eligible entities to submit expressions of interest for a $25 million capital grant program designed to expand housing options for people experiencing homelessness in regional areas.
The $25 million regional Rapid Housing Grant provides capital funding exclusively (no operational costs) to Registered Housing Agencies. This capital can be used to construct or purchase homes, renovate existing residential dwellings that were otherwise uninhabitable, or convert non-residential properties to residential dwellings.
The grant allows eligible entities to propose projects that address short-term/emergency accommodation, medium-term/transitional housing, or long-term housing needs. This flexible approach empowers service providers to tailor their proposals to the specific unmet needs of their local region.
