TM1 Maintenance and Support

⁠⁠⁠The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) is seeking to engage a seller who has the capability to provide business-as-usual support to maintain the Planning Analytics (TM1) environment and technical expertise to support ad hoc improvement or development projects where required.

DEWR utilises the Planning Analytics (TM1) platform to streamline our planning, budgeting, and forecasting operations across two databases.

1. BMS (Budget Management System): serves as our in-house Departmental Budgeting and Reporting System, enabling activities like internal budget profiling, forecasting, monthly reporting, and variance analysis. It is used by stakeholders with financial literacy skills that range from basic to advanced. Basic users work via TM1 Web and advanced users and administrators work primarily via the Planning Analytics add-on in Excel.
2. FIN_ADM (Administered Budgeting and Reporting module): serves as the in-house Administered Budgeting and Reporting module where Finance Business Partners manage their Budgeting for Administered spending.

These two databases are supplied with actual information and organisational structures from DEWR’s FMIS and HR system, SAP.

DEWR requires support for both databases which include but are not limited to:

• Troubleshooting system issues including restarting databases or reloading previous saved backups,
• Assistance in planning analytics version upgrades to comply with department requirements including documentation of upgrades,
• Advanced System maintenance where system administrators are unable to proceed,
• Functionality improvements to meet on-going business requirements,
• Database maintenance,
• Ad-hoc enhancements to improve business needs as identified,
• Basic training to administrators,
• Updating system documentation.

DEWR currently seeking a tender response from vendors with a demonstrated experience in TM1 including:

• Experience in TM1 from a systems administrator point of view.
• Experience in troubleshooting systems issues and resolving them in a timely manner.
• Experience in developing solutions in TM1 to accommodate a changing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships and translate business requirements to technology solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver business solutions within agreed time, cost, and quality expectations.
• A sound understanding of accounting concepts, frameworks, and Government finance functions.
