Tender Description

This Contract is for Watermain Works on Townsend Road in Rangiora.

The main tasks involved in this Contract are:

  • Installation of a new watermain under a stream to replace an existing pipe bridge.
  • Excavation of Pits for Thrusting and Receiving, including dewatering and temporary support (such as sheet piling).
  • Thrusting of a 711mm OD Steel Carrier Pipe under the Southbrook Stream on Townsend Road.
  • Installation of a New 508mm OD Concrete lined steel pipe in the carrier pipe.
  • Fabrication and installation of bends and shorts.
  • Testing and Disinfection of new section of main.
  • Preparation and approval of the Cut-in plan.
  • Coordination with WDC Water Unit
  • Fabrication and installation of bends and shorts.
  • Shutting down of watermain
  • Cutting in of new main
  • Commissioning of New Main
  • Relocation of Existing Air Valve to new main.
  • Removal of existing pipe bridge.
  • Delivery of removed materials to WDC Water Unit yard at Marsh Road Rangiora.
  • Traffic Management
  • Vegetation clearance as required by methodology.
  • Supply of As-Builts
  • Site Reinstatement.
