As part of EMRC's site development at the Red Hill Waste Management Facility, the Principal excavates specified areas such as landfill cells, leachate ponds and stormwater ponds. As the geology of the site incorporates a surface layer of lateritic caprock ('Rock'), this excavation includes, in part, the excavation of Rock. Granite and dolerite also known to be on the site, are typically not excavated, and are not included in the above definition of 'Rock'.

The Principal will require campaigns to excavate, transport, stockpile and/or crush the Rock to the finished material called Ferricrete ('Product') and the campaigns could differ from each other as it depends on the requirements at the time
