Tender Description
Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is seeking construction materials and pavement investigation laboratory testing services for Sydney and Regional NSW. The services consist of undertaking both Pavement Investigation and Testing and Construction Materials Testing and will be awarded a PSC Contract covering both Services per zone or sub zone.
Site Investigation and Testing
Services may include a site visit to collect information on the soil and subgrade conditions; collection of samples from sites and Transport Laboratories; and testing of samples.
Construction Materials Testing
The purpose of construction materials testing is to ensure the road infrastructure as built meets the design specifications and adheres to established standards, ensuring the asset performs safely and as designed to withstand traffic load and environmental conditions.
Construction materials testing services involves the evaluation or assessment of the properties and quality of various materials used in the construction process, this may include aggregates testing to determine particle size distribution and strength, or to assess properties like density, compressive strength and resistance cracking; and subgrade testing to evaluate bearing capacity, compaction and moisture content.
A web-based pre-tender meeting will be held via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday, 7 February 2024 at 10:30 am. Attendance is not mandatory to submit a conforming Application.
Tenderers must confirm their attendance for the pre-tender meeting by COB Monday 5 February 2024 by emailing Shereen.Nessim@transport.nsw.gov.au with subject heading stating “Pre-Tender Meeting Attendance Confirmation – 24.0000139318.0061 - Construction materials and pavement investigation laboratory testing services for Sydney and Regional NSW”. Dialing details will be provided only to the confirmed attendees.
