Tender Description
The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (the Department) currently owns and maintains 13 ferries within South Australia. Each ferry is removed from the water on a seven-year cycle for inspection, coating refurbishment and any relevant model upgrades to meet standards and standardise the fleet as much as is practicable. Ferries are returned to the Morgan dockyard slipway for the refurbishment process.
Pressure cleaning, blasting and protective treatment services are required for the minor refit / refurbishment of Ferry 879-026 “Dotterel” in accordance with the Marine Safety (Domestic Commercial Vessel) National Law Act 2012 and public safety requirements.
