Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) - Tester

⁠⁠⁠The Clean Energy Regulator is looking for an experienced Tester to join one of our multidisciplinary teams for a complex data migration project.

Statement of Requirements

The Tester is required to have:

• Experience in testing data warehouses, data migration, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
• Experience with Microsoft Cloud services (including Azure SQL Managed Instance / Azure Data Lake / Azure Data Factory) or similar cloud platforms.
• Excellent Microsoft Transact-SQL skills (scripting, stored procedures etc.)
• Demonstrated experience with all aspects of the data migration testing process (strategy, research, analysis, planning, design, writing tests, executing tests and defect management using Azure DevOps)
• Demonstrated analytical skills to ensure data accuracy at every stage of the end-to-end migration process.
• Ability to develop and implement a data migration test strategy
• Ability to build data migration testing capability from the ground up.
• Functional system testing experience.

Essential Criteria

• 5+ years’ experience undertaking system and integration testing of large-scale systems, using manual or automated testing methods.
• Robust organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to prioritise competing tasks with minimal direction.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, and experience using Azure DevOps toolset’
• Experience in automated or performance testing of integrated systems.
• Strong communication skills across technical and business audiences.
