Tender Details
Tender Description
The Principal invites the Tenderer to submit a Tender for the Principal Design Consultant Service for the Brambuk Revitalisation Project.
The Brambuk National Park and Cultural Centre (referred to hereafter as Brambuk) represents the cultures and connection to Gariwerd, the Country of the Jadawadjali and Djab Wurrung Peoples. The Traditional Owners are represented by Barengi Gadjin Land Council Aboriginal Corporation, Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation and Gunditj Mirring Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation, who are partnering with Parks Victoria on key decisions related to management of Brambuk.
Brambuk was opened in 1990 and has been a vital cultural focus and ceremonial ground for the surrounding communities. The Victorian Government Budget 2020–21 allocated $5.8 million from the Tourism Infrastructure Program to fund the Brambuk Revitalisation project, including building upgrade and strategic development of new long term environmental and cultural programs at the precinct. The Consultant is to document a design that is within budget. The capital works budget (i.e. construction cost not including contingency) is $1.8 million for all works described in Stage 1 and Stage 2.
A suitably qualified Principal Design Consultant (referred to hereafter as the Consultant) is required to undertake design services for the building upgrade works in two stages as follows:
STAGE 1 - Fixed Fee
Provide full design services for the building to meet compliance, operational and maintenance requirements for the Brambuk Cultural Centre building independent of the "Strategic Development Plan" (currently being developed by Gresley Abas in consultation with Gariwerd Traditional Owners and Parks Victoria). In addition, to provide scope and feasibility studies that will inform Stage 2 (ie. prospective roof remediation works, an artefacts storage room and precinct-wide toilet upgrades).
STAGE 2 - Provisional Sum
The Consultant to provide full design services for the works recommended as a result of the feasibility studies undertaken in Stage 1, and priority items from the "Strategic Development Plan" due to complete in late 2024.
Please refer to "Annexure G - Principal's Project Requirement" for detail scope of services, milestone deliverables, project timeline, construction budget and other important information.
