Expressions of interest are open for Fellows to join the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) Examinations Working Group.
Description
The working group reports to and is chaired by a member of the AFRM Assessment Committee (FAC). The AFRM FAC:
- Supervises the coordination of the development, preparation, and measurement of exams and assessments.
- Standardizes examiners and assessors.
- Oversees examining panels and working groups.
- Audits and analyzes exam data used to change policy and programs to improve exams and assessments.
Description:
The College has redesigned the Rehabilitation Medicine curriculum, removing the Module 1 Assessment and modifying the Module 2 Clinical Assessment, which will be renamed the AFRM Entry Phase Examination. The FAC plans to deliver the Entry Phase Examination in 2025.
The working group’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the design, development, and delivery of the Entry Phase Examination, and blueprinting of AFRM examinations to the new Curriculum Standards.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Sitting as a member of the AFRM Examination Working Group. One face-to-face meeting will be held with further meetings held via videoconference.
- Representation of the interests of AFRM Fellows and Trainees.

The term of this working group is for a maximum of three (3) years from the date of appointment. Dependent upon priorities, the term will be revised for an extension of an additional year.

- Be two years post-Fellowship admission.
- Have unconditional AHPRA or MCNZ registration as an AFRM Rehabilitation Medicine Physician.
- Involvement in AFRM examinations (strongly preferred).
