The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (the Department) is seeking to engage a contractor to efficiently manage the Beachport boatyard on behalf of the Department.
This includes operating equipment to move boats and performing yard equipment maintenance.
The contractor will need to provide comprehensive services essential for the maintenance, retrieval, and storage of boats used by the commercial fishing industry.
The contractor will be responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and safe operation of the boatyard, covering equipment operation, facility upkeep, safety and environmental compliance, routine maintenance, user services, and administrative functions.
The objectives of this procurement are:
- To procure the services of a competent contractor to operate and manage the Beachport Boatyard to meet the operational requirements.
- To assist with ongoing operation and maintenance of the Department's Beachport boatyard facility which supports the Southern Rock Lobster commercial fishing Industry.
- Ensure efficient and safe use of the Department’s equipment and facility throughout the contract period while providing service to the users of the boatyard, who primarily are commercial fishermen.
