BHP Nickel West (BHP NiW) is currently studying options for brownfields upgrades to its Kalgoorlie Smelter and is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced Suppliers to support the supply of general detailed engineering services for the PSC HOODS DESIGN & SUPPLY. Estimated required on site date of Q3 2025.

Supplier shall be responsible for the:

• Design of Primary Water-Cooled Hoods and Secondary Hoods, including electrical and mechanical items required for the operation of the sliding doors and hoists.

• Furnish all materials, parts, equipment, and incidental to the design of the equipment, including testing, preparation for shipment. This is to include provision of labour, materials, and additional support services during construction, commissioning, and start up.

• Control the package equipment using the Company’s plant control system (PCS) and operated remotely from within the plant’s Central Control Room.

• The Supplier shall supply a complete and operational unit, including all accessories.

• Packaging for transportation, loading, and storage.

• Supplier shall provide and be able to support optional supply of special tools, start up, commissioning, capital spare parts, and training.

• Inspection and Shop Testing of all materials and associated items, including Contractors Factory Acceptance Tests.

• The equipment must be complete in every aspect and ready to operate after installation and connection.

• Compliance with this SOW will not relieve the contractor of the responsibility to supply equipment that is durable, safe and reliable.

• Project management, including management of safety, preparation of schedules, plans, and progress reporting, and be responsible for training of the Company’s personnel in all aspects of operation and maintenance of the equipment supplied.

Subcontract shall comply with all applicable BHP Standards, Australian / local regulations, statutory requirements, Australian codes & standards. Expressions of interest may be for all or part of the scope of works described, and local and Indigenous businesses are encouraged to participate.
