Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Serpentine Dam was constructed in 1971 by the Hydro Electric Corporation (TAS) as part of the Gordon River Power Development Scheme for the purpose of generating hydro-electric power via the conventional Gordon Power Station.

Water from Lake Pedder is diverted to Lake Gordon (formed by the Gordon Dam) via the McPartlan Pass Canal.

This project seeks to upgrade the gate house adjacent to the Serpentine Dam to improve the weather protection, structural stability and access to operating areas in the building. Serpentine Dam Outlet is a reinforced concrete outlet tower positioned in Lake Pedder just downstream of the original diversion tunnel entrance.

A compulsory pre-tender briefing is scheduled for 11:00am on Monday 23 October 2023 (AEDST).
