Part of Zoos Victoria (ZV) strategy is continuous improvement in workplace health and safety focusing on both front and back of house infrastructure, which also incorporates world-class exhibits and care facilities for all Staff, Guests and Animals under its care. As an operating facility, the Zoo is expected to maintain its standards across all departments and have a safe, efficient and workable environment while adhering to all legal requirements.

As such, Zoos Victoria has the need for licensed tradespeople to carry out all aspects of work across our properties. Works that cover reactive, planned and emergency situations. ZV is tendering for the provision of plumbing services utilizing a panel of suitable companies that can not only deliver the services in a professional way in a timely manner but work with internal asset management database as well.

Our properties are open to the public from 9am to 5pm every day of the year as well as holding regular out of hour's events. Infrastructure work and servicing is scheduled and undertaken throughout the year, with schedules being adjusted to account for any impacts on Zoo main visitor hours plus after hour's events, business operations and the needs of the sensitive Zoo environment and occupants. The work environment is governed by existing ZV systems for OH&S, Flora and Fauna, Environmental and Pedestrian/ Traffic Management.

Service and maintain all existing plumbing related services and systems for ZV properties, including:

• Providing a general maintenance service for items of plumbing that are reported as faulty, blocked, poor water pressure and the like.
• Providing routine inspection of plumbing, schedule, undertake, record and track routine maintenance tasks.
• Attending to emergency callouts and devise rectifications/ remedies /solutions to issues arising.
• Provide plumbing service for all compliance works including record keeping as required.
• Prepare quotations for minor works, up to the value of $50k.

Kyabram Fauna Park are omitted from the maintenance service tender therefore suppliers can submit for services at one, two, or three properties (Healesville, Melbourne and Werribee). Mandatory site visits must be attended in order for suppliers to submit.
