Objective wheat receivals
Tender ID: 539875
Tender Details
Tender Description
Current procedures for wheat testing at receival sites are manual, slow, and largely subjective. This results in a cost to growers from trucks queuing at testing stands waiting for a result. The testing process is also subjective due the visual nature of testing and the variability inherent with the Falling Number test. With current testing procedures, the resourcing provided by the up-country and port receival points can easily become overwhelmed. That exacerbates truck delays resulting in longer cycle times to go from the paddock to receival site and back to the paddock. There could be significant benefits to growers from the use of image-analysis technology that automates the testing of grain deliveries at receival sites and on-farm and does so more efficiently and quickly than manual procedures.
