The purpose of the project is to construct a multi-purpose court at Centenary Park, Abermain and upgrade the existing tennis courts to 1 x multi-purpose court and 1 x tennis court, including hit up wall at Greta Central Park.

Centenary Park

This project involves the design and construction of a fenced multi-purpose court. Please see scope of works below:

- New engineered concrete slab over full area of court to provide:

o Size, including extent of run off 31m x 18m

o basketball compliant court

- Supply and install basketball, pickleball and handball (four square) line markings

o Geofabric layer

o Road base

o Removal of excess spoil from site

o Supply and installation of AC7 typical pavement

o Pavement preparation

o Supply and installation of Plexi pave surface

o Supply and installation of new PVC black coated chainwire fencing; (3m with 1 x double access gate for maintenance and 1 x single access gate)

o Supply and installation of basketball backboard and ring systems.

o Pathway connection

o Associated drainage works

o Associated sandstone retaining wall/s to site design not to exceed 900mm

o Supply and install turf underlay and turf to surrounds – 3metres minimum.

o Council will undertake all tree removal.

Greta Central Park

This project involves upgrading the existing deteriorated tennis facilities to 1 x tennis court and 1 x multi-purpose court, including hit-up wall. Please see scope of works below:

o Remove existing synthetic grass surface and dispose of

o Preparation of existing subbase for new surface

o Modification of existing dividing fence (centre of courts) to sold dividing fence.

o Removal of existing fence panel to create opening for multi-purpose court- As per location map.

o Supply and install new commercial grade synthetic grass surface

o Spread manufacturer specified washed and kiln dried sand to groom the surface,

o Supply and installation of basketball backboard and ring system.

o Supply and install tennis and half-court basketball line markings to multipurpose court

o Supply and install sleeves with caps for tennis net posts with concrete footings on multi-purpose court

o Supply and install tennis line markings and new posts and net to tennis court

o Associated drainage works

o Design, Engineering and construction of concrete hit up wall – As per location map. Minimum 3m high by 8m wide.

o Remediation of surrounding grass areas.
