Tender Description
Tenders are invited by Orange City Council from suitably qualified contractors for the construction of an extension to an existing twin-cell box culvert structure over Ploughmans Creek on Molong Road (Mitchell Highway).
The works are located on the northern approach into Orange, approximately 150m north of the Northern Distributor Road intersection.
These works are required to be undertaken by a contractor that is prequalified with Transport for NSW for R3 and B1 level works.
The works include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Removal of existing fences and structures on the existing box culverts such as guardrails and an AC water main.
- Extension of the existing box culvert; installing the precast box culvert units already procured by the Council and other associated concrete works including construction of base slabs, apron slab, wing walls, footings, and retaining walls.
- Construction of a new stormwater drainage line.
- Rehabilitation of the site, including backfilling, and construction of new boundary fencing and guardrail.
- Widening of the existing road shoulder to suit the new culvert structure.
- Provision of traffic management for the works, and
- Other associated works.
